Demo: The Dural Sheath

Concept overview

The examination of the middle dural sheath constitutes a crucial step in assessing cranial health and body balance. This process involves a meticulous inspection of the coronal structures, checking for the presence of areas of increased density or rigidity, which can hinder the freedom of function of the symphysis in relation to the occlusal system. In case of anomalies, targeted manipulations are performed to promote electrical release and rebalancing of the dural sheath, oriented towards the base of the skull. This work extends to the Bregma area and the anterior fontanelle, where a transition from density to fluidity is sought, essential for the proper functioning of cranial structures.

The importance of these manipulations is particularly marked in children, where the development of the mandible and sucking abilities are fundamental. Interaction with the anterior sheath and the drainage system is paramount to ensure harmonious development. Furthermore, work on the cranio-sacral axis and diaphragms helps ensure essential freedom of movement for overall well-being. Specific techniques, such as the knee technique, are also implemented to ensure effective rebalancing, highlighting the importance of an integrative approach in the practice of osteopathy and biodynamic embryology.
